Microneedling and PRP are new offerings here at BMA. Hands on training was completed onsite with the regional SkinPen and ProGen rep, Kim Lento. Microneedling is FDA approved for treatment of acne scarring. It is also used to stimulate collagen growth, which improves fine lines and wrinkles. The SkinPen uses tiny sterile stainless steel needles which make microchannels in the skin. Skin is numbed prior to the procedure and heals completely usually within 3 days.
PRP is an acronym for protein rich plasma. The plasma is obtained from a simple blood draw here in the office. That sample is spun in a centrifuge which separates the plasma from the red blood cells. The plasma can be injected into the skin using a SkinPen or can be used as an alternative to a filler! The advantage of the plasma is there is no chance of allergic reactions because it is 100% your own and increases the rate of healing and increasing collagen.
Microneedling is $100 off for the month of February, it is regularly $350/treatment. Microneedling with PRP is specially priced at $150 off, or $350 for February! This is a significant savings. I am happy to answer questions you may have. Book a treatment today!
